Building to strengthen human capital by providing financial literacy and
other educational opportunities to neighbor residents and businesses. |

West End Association
Provides education and preservation of a district central city neighborhood,
maintaining an arboretum and educating the community by holding
an
annual festival, donations to scholarships, security, and children
programs. |
NIP (Neighborhoods
in Partnership)
Exists for the purpose of pooling and generating resources among neighborhood-based
organizations in the central west area of the city of Toledo so the
revitalization efforts of these groups will be more effective and
productive than if each group worked on its own. |
COMPANION ANIMAL WELFARE |
Maumee
Valley Save-a-Pet
Promotes responsible pet ownership, seeks responsible, permanent homes
for its foster animals and offers spay and neuter assistance to stop
the uncontrolled breeding of thousands cats and dogs every year in
the Toledo area. |
The
Wood County Humane Society
Educates the citizens of Wood County in the principles and practices
of humane animal treatment and provides healthier shelter environment
for stray cats and dogs, investigates and resolves reports of cruelty
and abuse and provides good homes for its sheltered animals. |

Nature's
Nursery Center for Wildlife Rehabilitations & Conservation Education
Provides educational programs on wildlife and conservation issues
and accepts injured and orphaned wildlife for rehabilitation and return
to the wild. |

Harbor
House/ 300 Beds Inc.
Provides services and housing to homeless, chemically-dependent women
through comprehensive program life skills training and education to
help regain self-respect and a place in society. |

Parenthood of Northwest Ohio
Advocates for the means for people to make informed decisions regarding
reproductive health and sexuality. It also provides education and
quality health care. |

House Family Shelter, Inc.
Provides temporary shelter to homeless single women, single parent
households with children, intact families and married couples since
1921. |
Interfaith Hospitality Network
Gives a caring response to homelessness, providing compassionate assistance
through temporary shelter and meals to families. |
Martin
Luther King Kitchen for the Poor
Feeds an average of 200 people daily, Monday through Friday. Provides
home delivered meals to seniors daily. Gives away clothing donations. |

- Advocates for Basic Legal Equality Inc.
Provides critically needed, high quality civil legal assistance to eligible
low-income residents of western Ohio. |
ACLU
Foundation of Ohio, Northwest Ohio Chapter
Dedicated to ensuring civil liberties to all persons. Through education
and litigation, it defends everyone's constitutional rights and individual
freedoms. |
Campaign for
Migrant Worker Rights (Farm Labor Research Project)
Assists migrant farm workers through education, direct services, advocacy
and training to learn goal-setting and strategies for effective organizing
that can improve the quality of these poorest paid American workers. |
EqualityToledo
EqualityToledo works for equality for all Ohioans regardless of their marital
status, sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression, through
education, anti-defamation efforts, and activism. |
The Interfaith Justice and Peace
Center
Fosters awareness and coordinates action on peace issues by non-violent
means. It also advocates, from diverse faith backgrounds, for sacredness
and dignity of all human beings. |

To prevent and reduce gun violence through education and advocacy in support
of a culture of non-violence. |

Dogs of America, Inc.
Locates, trains, and places highly skilled service the therapy dogs
with disabled adults and children to increase their independence.
ADAI is dedicated to training dogs rescued from animal shelters,
and/or dogs donated by pet owners. |

An organization of parents, professionals, and other interested citizens working together to promote the general well-being of people with autism living in Northwest Ohio.. |

To grant the wishes of children
with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience
with hope, strength, and joy. |
Mountain
Mentors
At-risk youth are paired with mentors who assist on personal goal-setting
and development. Monthly meetings and week-long mountaineering experience
are combined with weekly student contacts. |
